My Story Idea

I have been toying with the idea of creating my own film for this project. The following is a story idea that I have come up with for the changing of perception of a character over time without too much happening on screen for the visuals to be the thing that is changing our perception.

The story is to deal with the thoughts of self frustration and self affirmation.

The film begins with the character waking up early to their alarm buzzing, beside the bed are empty bottles of alcohol, empty glass, empty pill bottles etc.
The character sits up on this side of their bed, putting their head in their hands as they lower their head.
The character then proceeds to show us their mundane morning routine. They make breakfast, eat toast, stare out the window to the unknown then back into their kitchen full of organised mess.
As the character turns they drop their cup of tea, the mug smashing against he ground and the character breaks down, onto their knees where they cry and hold themselves.
As the character grabs ahold of their self and pulls their body from the floor they stare back out of the window to the ife they could be living, there is more to life.
The character grabs their jacket, puts on his boots and leaves the house that imprisons them.
The remainder of the film shows the character walking. The character walks with their hood up past abandoned buildings, wasteland and construction sites before stopping at the edge of the street. Which way in life should the character turn?
The character looks up towards a grassy hill, symbolising the inner peace that the character must find. The grass is always greener.
As the character begins to tackle the hill ahead of them, they leave behind the world of urban decay that they live, as they make it to the top and look out they pull down their hood and look across the city that they have now left, that now seems a million miles away. The character smiles to themself before turning and walking back down the way they came, to once again begin their life.
